Why did I choose to share Wildtree?
For years I have struggled with yo-yo weight issues. It is a frustrating battle many wage every day. It plays with our emotions, battles with our self esteem and worth, and worse yet, makes us question our intelligence. It is difficult for those connected to this struggle to rationalize how we can be bright, educated people, own a business, or manage a family and career, and be a contributing, valued member of our community,. but we can't seem to manage our weight? The struggle isn't just ours, it impacts those who love us and are close to that struggle too.
I have three very dear friends who even chose the path of medical procedures, in attempt to win the battle. So far one has had some life threatening after effects, one is daily having struggles with sickness and bodily function challenges. So I'm a big chicken, I needed to find a safer way.
Then my husband, who has historically been the "healthiest" member of the family (the man doesn't even have a cavity) was diagnosed with a blood clotting factor that puts him at risk for other health concerns. Most of his life was fit, very active, and he too began loosing energy and gaining weight. We now understand it was a combination of a health concern that had gone undetected since birth, the clotting factor and poor food choices. He appeared healthy and active, but essentially was a time bomb.
We want to be healthy, and as fit as possible. We began seeing a nutritionist (Karen Krchma) who is teaching us that good health and true weight loss (that stays off ) is about restoring our "natural settings" and not putting food full of chemicals in our bodies.
It as simple as understanding an apple. Our body was designed to eat apples. How many can you eat in a row? One , or maybe two if they are small, right? Now think about pizza. How many pieces of that can you ingest at one sitting? See, our bodies recognize that apple, it knows when to say enough. It doesn't recognize the pizza, or the milkshake, or the french fires, or the pasta.
Realsitically, we want and need to eat more than apples. We have favorites, were busy, money is tight. We have no time for learning a bunch of new recipes, techiniques, or spending a fortune on a bunch of package products. We know what we know and can do it haf asleep or blindfolded, right?
Then a friend shared with me Wildtree. It is natural, not full of chemcals, or preservatives! Intially my reaction was skepticism (it's who I am), but because she also is a woman I respect and is focused on wellness, I went to a tasting at her house. I was more than impressed. But the true test came the night I made Cilantro Lime Rice with dinner and my 21 year old son (picky eater) said, "Wow mom this is from your organic, healthy stuff? It's pretty good"!
Being able to share food that tastes good, is fast and easy to make, and brings greater health to my friends and family, it was an easy choice. I am excited to share this with everyone I know.
I have many more friends who are Health and Wellness focused who are just going to love Wildtree products too!!
